PHYSIOTHERAPY

Have you suffered a sports, workplace or spinal injury? Are you living with pain & stiffness that affects your ability to perform functional movements

Dynamic Physio is here to help.

As one of the leading ACC registered North Shore physios, we provide a full range of physiotherapy services that are designed to alleviate pain, restore mobility and reduce the risk of future injuries. We treat a wide variety of conditions and are committed to providing the highest quality rehabilitative care.

What physiotherapy can help with

We can treat a wide range of injuries and health conditions, including:

  • Sports injuries: Our therapists provide treatment for a wide range of sports injuries, including sprained ankle, tennis elbow, foot injuries, shin splints, muscle tears, stretched ligaments, shoulder injuries and more. We’ll get you back into the game and prescribe you some exercises to help you avoid repeating the injury.
  • Work related injuries: Both sedentary and physically demanding jobs can lead to injuries such as strained muscles, sprained ligaments, back pain, neck pain, posture issues, headaches and migraines. We’ll create a personalised treatment plan that reduces pain in the short term and sets a foundation for safer working in the years ahead.
  • Rehabilitation: If you’ve had surgery and are currently on the road to recovery, we can help you regain your mobility and safely rebuild your strength.
  • Muscular imbalances: Repetitive movements, poor biomechanics and inadequate physical activity can all lead to muscular imbalances. We’ll work with you to identify the issue and design a treatment plan to correct the imbalance.

What to expect from physio treatment

We take a multi-disciplinary approach to therapy that involves using a combination of physiotherapy, acupuncture, exercise therapy and traditional Chinese medicine. We may also draw on the expertise of specialists we know and trust such as local sport physicians, podiatrists and surgeons.

Here are a few ways we help get you moving again:

JOINT MOBILISATION

Sometimes referred to as joint stretching, joint mobilisation is a type of manual therapy that aims to restore range of motion to a joint with restricted movement. It can also relieve pain caused by loss of joint mobility. Some examples of joint mobilisation include joint manipulation, mobility exercises and muscle energy techniques.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Used as either complementary or standalone therapy, massage therapy is designed to release the painful and tight muscles that contribute to pain. By manipulating soft tissue in your body, our physiotherapists are able to reduce muscle tension, alleviate pain and increase mobility.

PILATES & EXERCISE THERAPY

Exercise therapy is a structured plan of physical activities that are prescribed to help you reach specific therapeutic goals. We’ll prescribe you some exercises that can help restore function, reduce pain and improve your body’s natural biomechanics.

ACUPUNCTURE

Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is used around the world to support the body’s natural healing processes. It involves using fine needles to release endorphins and trigger your body’s anti-inflammatory response. Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and stress-related conditions.
