Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Dynamic Physio Milford

Emilie is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist at our Milford clinic. Hockey has been part of her life for as long as she can remember: she has played at national level and for the New Zealand U21 team, so she knows first-hand what it takes to train, play and come back from injury.
Her focus is exercise-based rehabilitation. She works hard alongside her patients, building a clear plan that gets them moving well and back to the sport or activity they love.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy), AUT
Registration: New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist (NZRPT)
Clinic: Dynamic Physio Milford, 215 Shakespeare Road
ACC: ACC registered, no GP referral needed
Hockey puts a lot of load through the body: low, crouched positions, fast changes of direction on turf, and contact from sticks and balls. Common problems Emilie helps players with include:
Emilie builds your rehab around the demands of training and match play, with a staged return to full contact so you go back confident and well prepared. She also treats a wide range of other sports, work and everyday injuries, so you do not need to be a hockey player to see her.
Emilie will ask about your injury, your sport or activity and your goals, then assess how you move. She will explain what is going on in plain language, start treatment in the same session, and give you a clear exercise plan to follow at home or at training.
No. You can book directly online or by calling our Milford clinic on 09 869 6997. If your injury was caused by an accident, Emilie can lodge your ACC claim at your first appointment.
Not at all. Emilie sees people with all kinds of injuries and aches, from weekend runners to people recovering from surgery.
Emilie works at our Milford clinic at 215 Shakespeare Road, which has onsite parking and free parking at Smales Farm through ParkMate (just give reception your car registration).
Talk to Emilie at your appointment about warm-ups, strength work and load management that can help reduce the risk of common hockey injuries.
